Satinder Sharma

Satinder Sharma (b. 1940) Ex-Senior Librarian endriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, obtained three Masterâ€™s degrees in Political Science, History and Library and Information Science. He specializes in Gandhian Studies. Worked in Delhi Public Library, Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and as a Senior Librarian in Government College for Women, Rohtak he has been in the profession since 1965-2000. he has following books to his credit (1) Contemporary Approach to School Library (1982), (ii) Rajiv Gandhi-An Annotated Bibliography (1983), (iii) Health Science Publications from India-A Guide 1947-1982 with Supplement 1983-84 (1985), (iv) Encyclopaedia of Sports (1999) and Encyclopaedia of Women in Sports (2000). He was coordinator of National Literacy Mission (NLM), under â€˜Each One Teach Oneâ€™ programme. He was Resource person in the inservice course of Northern India/School Librarians in 1997 at KV, AGCR, Delhi. Lionâ€™s Club international honoured him with â€œBest Librarian Awardâ€. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan honoured him with Incentive Award 1999 on the Teachersâ€™ Day.
