Synopsis After independence there was spurt in research work on Indian classical music. Nevertheless, there was also a great need for compilation of research work done in the various fields of music. "Glimpses on Indian Musicology" is in consonance with this need. The book contains the works of about 71 prominent musicologists. In order to give credit to each and every contributor, their biographies and the list of their publications are included in this treatise. It also contains critical appreciation of the work. These musicologists have written on different aspects of Hindustani classical music.
