In Cochin meanwhile, a young girl is kidnapped, raped and tortured to death, and her body burnt to prevent identification. The man responsible is a shadowy figure called the grey man. The body is identified as that of Priya, the daughter of an army officer, Eswaran, serving in Nagaland, who happens to be the commander of the team searching for the sniper. Eswaran's friend Murthy, whose daughter is also kidnapped, is murdered and a police inspector Thomas seems to be involved in the murder which is committed by a group of religious fundamentalists. Sniper is the horrific and thrilling story about the quest for the 'grey man' and Eswaran's resolve to avenge the death of his daughter.

Shashi Warrier

Shashi Warrier was born in Kerala in 1959. He studied Economics and did his MA from BITS, Pilani. He is the author of three thrillers - Night of the Krait, The Orphan and The Sniper. He has also written two books for children - The Hidden Continent and Suzy's Gift. Shashi Warrier lives in Panamanna, Kerala.
