It marks the area that is not quite in a time warp, but is a time-space continuum where two hundred ears have fused diverse peoples and divergent cultures; bequeathed them their own history replete with battle honours, battle cries, vocabulary, myths and legends; shaped their routines, conventions and traditions in such a manner that transition, when it comes, is seamless.
