Mother Teresa: The Apostle of Love

Gautam Ghosh (Author)
Synopsis This is the amazing story of a woman, whose selfless giving made her one of the living saints of the world. On a train traveling from Darjeeling to Kolkata, a nun received the call, 'to be God's love in action to the poorest of the poor'. Thus began Mother Teresa's life long journey in the service of mankind. For Mother Teresa, charity meant giving till it hurt. She founded the order of the Missionaries of Charity. Today, the blue-bordered, white sarees of the nuns have become a symbol of selfless charity and caring. In 1979, when Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, she received it 'in the name of the hungry, the naked, the homeless, of the cripples, of the blind, of the lepers, of all those who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society'.

Gautam Ghosh

Born in may 1952, Gautam Ghosh has always had a creative and literary bent of mind. He has been associated with the publications of his school, college and university magazines. Swami Vivekananda: The Prophet of Modern India is his first major work.Dr. Gautam Ghosh, is the son of late Dr. Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, centenary Professor Public Administration, university of Calcutta and Formerly Founder Vice President of Indian Institute of Public Administration, west Bengal & Dr. Mrs Bela Ghosh, formerly Chairperson West Bengal Public Service omission. Coming from a family of academicians of International repute, there is a natural feeling in the mind to search for light, but unfortunately at the age of only Dr. Gautam Ghosh lost his father. With the love, affection, care & Guidance from his mother Dr. Mrs bela Ghosh, he completed his graduation from St. Xaviers College Calcutta, and joined 3 years LLB Degree course in Hooghly Mohosin College, under Burdwan university; the Best law College of West Bengal, at that time. While in the first year, again ill-luck struck & Dr. Ghosh, lost his most precious asset, his mother. Such was the loss, that even today, sitting at his plush house, he feels the coldest shiver down his spine along with the intense sorrow. Amid'st the turmoil, Dr. Ghosh's only true friend Miss Gipsy banerjee cam forward, with lot of affection, love & care, which again rejuvenated dr. Ghosh to complete his LLB degree course and be what he is today. At that point of time perhaps fate was too harsh with him, as all his fathers students well wishers & relatives thought to look the other way, except only two persons,-Biman Bose, presently Chairman Left Front, who provided him the required fatherly care & Gipsy Banerjee who provided the motherly affection. As joining the bar Council, was not his sole objective, he completed his MA in Public Administration and thereafter to quench his thirst of further education, he completed his PhD degree under the supervision of the legendary [political scientist Dr. (Prof) S K Chaturvedi. In doing his PhD work, he had the blessings of Dr. Jaytilak Guha Roy, professor Indian Institute of Public Administration, new Delhi, a National Figure in the field of criminal Justice Administration, and a former PhD student of his father late Dr. Ramesh Chandra Ghosh. From the very days of his college, Dr. Ghosh, had the intense urge to look beyond the present system of policing, which according to him is in an "appalling condition -when looked from, a larger perspective". Dr Gautam Ghosh has now offers from the United Kingdom to do his Post Doctoral research, together with the facility to revise the nursery rhymes with his son Jyotiraditya & Wife Gipsy Ghosh.
