Synopsis John Henry Clarke`s A Dictionary of Practical Materia Medica and A Clinical Repertory are in use since the last 100 years and are very popular reference books with all practitioners and students of Homoeopathy. Both the above mentioned books are very rich source of knowledge regarding different drugs and their application. As A Dictionary of Practical Materia Medica is a very bulky book consisting of over 2600 pages in 3 Volumes, it is only used as a reference book and not as a ready reckoner like William Boericke`s Homoeopathic Materia Medica and Repertory. Keeping the above in mind an idea was conceived to bring out a Boericke style book for Clarke. The Condensed Homoeopathic Materia Medica and Repertory by Clarke is a sincere effort in this regard and is dedicated to the idea that Homoeopath during the twenty-first century offers great promise to people of all ages, and therefore the practitioner of Homoeopathy should be armed with the best of knowledge.
