S S Negi (Author)
Synopsis

Erosion by water, wind and other agencies is one of the most serious problems affecting the land all over the world. It probably began when man first learnt to till the soil. Over the centuries, as more and more forests were cleared, soil erosion began to take place at a fast rate. This problem occurs both on arable as well as non-arable land. This book covers various topics on soil conservation and integrated watershed management. It will be useful for students, foresters, scientists, agriculturalists and even the layman.
