Synopsis Section--A deals with the conceptual framework and historical background of teacher education. This section contains three papers which explain the conceptual and historical background of teacher education. The section--B of the volume has been devoted to 'Quality Concerns and Teacher Education' and possesses nine papers. These papers have covered all the aspects of quality and quantity management of teacher education. The section--C deals with 'Emerging Trends and Teacher Education' for which nine papers have been contributed by the different scholars. The Section--D explains the 'Pedagogic Vitality and Teacher Education' and there are seven papers in this section of the volume. The section-E is the last section which gives the details of 'Status of Teacher Education in North East India' in different seven papers.
