Moderates and Extremists: Ideological Differences

K C Sharma (Author)
Synopsis This volume has deep hearing on the political ideology of Moderates and Extremists who dominated, in one way or the other, the Indian nationalism during the two decades of twentieth century. Indeed their main aim was the same i.e. to fight for the Swaraj, in fact a long drawn 'political battle'. The prominent personalities of the Moderates were Pherozeshah Mehta, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, and S.N. Banerjea. The leaders of the extremists were Bal Gangadhar Tilak, B.C. Pal and Lala Lajpat Rai. All these leaders were well-disciplined and devoted Congressmen who greatly influenced the masses of India through their speeches and writings. This volume would be useful for social scientists, teachers, students and researchers in India and abroad.
