About the authors

S N Tripathy

Dr. S.N. Tripathy (b. 1957) completed his graduation with Economics honours from KSUB College, Bhanjanagar (Orissa) and M.A. in Economics from Khallikote College, Berhampur. He was awarded Ph.D. degree in the year 1989 from the Berhampur University for his research on, “Problems of Bonded Labour in Orissa”. Dr. Tripathy has to his credit several works and edited volumes alongwith 60 published papers in different journals and books. He has completed several Research Projects by ICSSR and U.G.C., New Delhi. His area of research interests are Unorganised Labour, Rural Development and Tribal Problems etc. At present, Dr. Tripathy is in the Department of Economics, Aska Science College, Aska, Orissa.

L.R. Patro

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Patro (b. 1963) presently working as a lecturer in Education, Chikiti Mahavidyalaya, District Ganjam (Orissa) holds the degrees of M.A. (Economics), M.Ed., and Ph.D., (Education) from Berhampur University. Dr. Patro has a long standing teaching experience. He is actively engaged in research activities.
