Prakash Vakil (Author)
Synopsis

This is the first of a series of volumes planned on Homoeopathic Therapeutics.  I intend to launch in the sacred cause of medicine.  As a student, as a teacher and as a practitioner.  I have felt all along the need of such a book.  The salient features of this volume are described in detail on the opposite page.  In short, a new approach of treatment based on findings of physical examination is explained here.  I sincerely believe that this can simplify prescribing and can save the physician from likely misunderstanding when a prescription is based on data derived from history along.  Further, this approach will be specially useful in case of patient speaking language other then the one known to the physician, deaf and dumb people and small children.  In the evaluation of symptoms, causative factors assume maximum importance.  Hence, it was thought fit to describe here the aetiological factors.  However, possibility of some factors having not been listed here is not ruled out e.g. Infective Hepatitis after emotional upset or Apoplectic attack after fright.  The important features of this book: New Scientific approach, Illustrations for better understanding, Examination findings of different remedies, List of important common and rare remedies, A description of important remedies, A short summary of the important symptoms those remedies in the margin so that it can be a ready reference to the student, several interesting cases.
