Synopsis The subject 'Gender Justice' is becoming an important component of LL.B. (Hons) curriculum in many universities and it covers many areas of civil and criminal laws. Therefore, this book has made an attempt to compile various aspects of the subject in one volume written by Academicians, Judges, Advocates having knowledge and experience in the area. The present volume focuses on different areas such as the status of girl child, necessity of gender balance in law, gender justice in sociological perspectives, gender inequality in right to inheritance and succession laws, violence against women, witch hunting, marital rape, conditions of women in organised as well as unorganised sectors and the micro-level study of domestic servants at Kolkata.
