An attempt has been made to co-relate the Tobacco consumption and Maternal health among the Bidi Workers, who exposed themselves to tobacco dust, practiced habitual smoking and chewing tobacco. The book covers different aspects of Fetal, Neonatal, and maternal health in relation to exposure to tobacco in any form. A.N. Sharma

Dr. A.N. Sharma is a wellknown Anthropologist. He has been involved in research since 1977. His areas of research interest are demography, medical anthropology and applied anthropology. He has published several scholarly papers in journals of national and international repute. He has accomplished a number of research projects in different capacities, which are being supported by various national and international agencies. He is the author of fourteen books. The national seminars "Modern Trends in Anthropology", "Tribal Ecosystem and Malnutrition in India"; "Emerging roles of Anthropological Knowledge in Promoting Tribal Welfare and Development" and "Role of Anthropology in human welfare" were organized by him. He is at present, Head of the Department of Anthropology, Dr. H.S. Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar Madhya Pradesh, India.
