Synopsis Industrialization is the most important method by which any country can make its growth rapid and reliable. In the long run it is regarded as the means to full employment, high productivity and better living standards. It is also the only way through which other objectives of national economic policy like removal of poverty, balanced regional development and national defense can be effectively realized. In India, a well integrated network of financial institutions has been developed over the years providing wide variety of financial products and services for industrial development. The present book aims to find the pattern of industrial development. The book has examined the role of state promotional and enterprises (PSIDC, UPSIDC, PICUP and PSIEC) in giving boost to industrialization process and also the role of state financial corporation (PFC and UPEC) in financing and promotion of industry.
