Amarjit S. Basra

Amarjit S. Basra, PhD, is an eminent scientist whose outstanding contributions in the field of plant biology and crop improvement have been recognized internationally. He is a senior scientist with the Monsantio Company in St. Louis and has previously worked at the university of California, davis Wageningen Agricultural university of the Netherlands, University of Western Sydney, Hawkesbury in Australia, and the Punjab Agricultural university, Ludhiana, India. Dr. Basra has published several research papers and books and provides research and editorial leadership for the benefit of the international crop science community. He is the founding Editor in chief of the journal of new seeds and the Journal of crop Improvement. He is a member of the American society of Agronomy, the soil science society of plant biologists, the American science society of America. Dr Basra has received several coveted awards and honors for his scientific accomplishments.
