Synopsis In spite of the establishment of the United Nations and the various other world bodies, societies are suffering from uniform social conflicts especially the ethnic conflicts. In Sri Lanka the Tamil rebels are fighting the Singhalese. The Muslim fundamentalists are fighting in Palestine with the Israelis. Similarly there are conflicts in societies in Latin America and Africa. All the social conflicts are due to various anomalies prevailing in the societies which create deviance and lead to social conflicts. Social conflicts in any part of the world affect the course of the history in the whole world. This is a very vital study of sociology and has vital bearings on the sociological analysis and sociological theory.
