Synopsis
The debate on conserving natural environment and people’s health is a long lasting. There are sometimes seen mutually exclusive choices in the environment versus development. Yet countries need both infrastructure development and environmental safeguards. Toreconcile these two needs, new paradigms and alternative systems have to be considered. The cost which we are paying for the development is too heavy and is reflected on people’s health. The quality of life is also affected the measures taken are inadequate and cannot wholly prevent long term environmental damage. One has to think some constructive solutions of the growing problems.
