Synopsis The present publication deals with the approaches to and contents of the teaching of physics. It is based on current syllabus and has been structured as a comprehensive aid to the teaching of physics. It covers all important topics for the physics teachers, such as, the nature, definition, form and content of physics; the course contents of physics as a secondary and college level subject; the education of science teachers; facilities' for high school physics; advanced physical science; use of science and scientific methods in building a house; use of fuels to produce heat and power; making water more useful; science aids in communication and transportation; scientific facts that need to be known about textiles and quality of clothing for man; and the approach to end efficacy of the demonstration methods in the teaching of physics. It is earnestly hoped that the present publication will be an indispensable aid to the teaching of physics for all teachers.
