Latika Menon obtained her Masterâ€™s degree in Sociology from the University of Delhi and subsequently a doctorate, with specialization in womenâ€™s development issues, from Madras University. She has worked as a counselor and social psychologist with organizations of repute and has been associated with several womenâ€™s development NGOs as Consultant and Board Member. She is at present Deputy Director, Research and Training, with Scientific and Technical Research for Employment and Earnings (STREE), a government-aided institution for the promotion of employment opportunities among economically backward womenâ€™s groups.
