Priten Roy

Priten Roy Born in 1919 at Ross Island, Port Blair, where his father was in service at the British Govt. Commissariat.

Graduated from the Calcutta University, joined the A & N Administration and was honoured as founder Secretary of the State Co-op. Bank.

After Superannuation, took to journalism as an Editor, Andaman Wave, and ventilated stupendously on unsung glories of bygone days and sanctified the dedication of the revolutionaries through his writings. His contribution is of immense significance as it bears the witness of his vast experience and in-depth study.

His deep sense of consideration for the dying primitive tribes of these Islands has stirred his mind and prompted him over the years to take to writing on them.
