Synopsis
Our purpose here is to discuss some of the problems involved in analyzing female wage labour, through developing a critique of a number of approaches to the question. The first is a discussion of the conceptual framework for analysing the family which constitutes the sociological analysis of working women and their family structure. We also consider the conception of dual labour market which has been developed within economics as a radical critique of neo-classical economics.
