Mamata Swain

Mamata Swain is Professor and Head, Department of Economics, North Orissa University, Baripada. She has obtained M.Phil degree from the Delhi School of Economics and Ph.D. from the University of London availing Commonwealth Fellowship. She has published extensively in many referred professional journals in areas of Agrarian Relations, Water Pricing, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Water Resources Management, Rural Development, Women in Agriculture and Disaster Management. She has undertaken many research projects sponsored by World Bank, DFID, SICI (Canada), ICAR and Planning Commission. She has also published books titled Peasant Agriculture and Share Tenancy in Orissa, Emerging Trends and Reforms in irrigation in India (eds.) and Farmer and Local Participation in Irrigation Management (eds.).
