It is a well known fact that most of the labour force both for agriculture and industry is supplied by the villages which comprise the 80% of Indian population. Both the organized and the unorganized labour force comes from the rural sector. It was mostly ignored so far. But the organized labour force which works in the industrial sector, is mainly located in the urban areas. The unorganized labour force which mainly works in agriculture deserves the attention both of the government and the private agencies which work for the rural labour and rural development.
