About the authors

D.S. Malik

Dr. D.S. Malik, Ph.D., FNC, FASEA, is senior lecturer in Department of Zoology and Environmental Science, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar.  He is a well-known researcher and academician in the field of Biodiversity Resource Conservation.  He has published about 60 research papers and edited six books.  Dr. Malik is executive editor of Journal Aquacult.  He has been awarded ASEA Young Scientist Award, Nature Conservators, Paryavaran Award and Nature Conservators Impetus Gold Medal.

K.S. Negi

Dr. K.S. Negi M.Sc., Ph. D. in Environmental science and engaged in the research of Aquatic Ecology, Fish biology and conservation of Cold water fishes in Hill-streams and Rivers. At present Dr. Negi is serving as Senior Research Fellow in national research centre on coldwater fisheries (ICAR), Champawat (Uttaranchal). He has published ten research papers in national and International research journals and he is a fellow of Society f nature Conservators (NATCON) and Inland Fisheries Society of India.
