About the authors

Ajay Pratap Singh

Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh is currently working as reader in the Department of History, Culture and Archeology. His has researched on Cultural History and ecology of Ancient India. He has contributed several outstanding papers in the learned journals of India and has also supervised research students. As many as four research students have earned Ph.D. degree under his supervision on different aspects of Early India.

Ashoka K. Mishra

Ashoka K. Mishra is a distinguished archeologist presently working as a Reader in the department of History Culture and Archeology of Dr. Ram Manohas Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad. He was awarded Kun d-Kund Gyan Pith Puraskar in 1998 for his outstanding work in Jain atomism. He was associate at Indian Institute of Advanced Study center Shimla (1996 –1990). He is the author of large number of research papers and three books: The Indian Black Wares (Delhi, 1989) Swatantrayotar Bhartiya Puratatva ke Pachas Varsh: 1947-1997 (Faizabad, 19978) and Ethno-archaeometallugry of Iron in India (Delhi, 2003)

Pushp Lata Singh

Pushp Lata Singh did obtain her master's degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad and was placed in Ist division with Ist position in order of merit. She was awarded Junior Research Fellowship in Archaeology from University Grants Commission, New Delhi and earned her Doctoral degree from the said University in 1996. She has also been awarded Associationship of Inter University Centre of Advanced Study, Rashtrapati Nivas, Shimla. Currently she is working as a Senior Lecturer of Environmental Archaeology in the Department of History, Culture and Archaeology at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Avadh University, Faizabad, India.
