Ocean in a Drop: Yoga, Meditation and Life in the Himalayas

Swami Chandresh (Author)
Synopsis Ocean in a Drop is a stimulating book of discourses on Yoga, Meditation and Life by a great Himalayan ascetic. Having lived a dynamic life of solitary contemplation for more than two decades in a small hut atop Mount Shaivapuri of Himalayan hill ranges that surround the Kathmandu valley, Swami Chandresh for the first time comes forth to share jewels of his precious wisdom to the world outside. During his solitary stay in the Himalayas, Swamiji meditated upon a spiritual way of life integral to the fulfillment of human life. The book is a startling account of the ideas that originated during his spiritual quest and a compilation of the experiences he shared with his disciples, Ranging from issues like Sciences in the light of religion, yoga and humanity, environment of Vedic seers, death and immortality and concentration of mind and humanity, Swamiji sheds light on a novel vision of life that shall energize even lay readers. Swamiji who also runs a high-school at Budhaneelkantha considers Western education only book wise. "I believe in the triangular formula of education which involves metaphysics, vocation and only lastly information. An angle can not occupy the space of happiness in human life. Only a triangle can. The final touchstone for me remains-Can an educated man ultimately make himself happy in his lifespan?"
