M.S. Mahendrakumar

Dr. M.S. Mahendrakumar is a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, Kannur University in Kerala. He is the recipient of the first Ph.D. Degree (2004) of Kannur University, which was established in 1996. He is the member of the Board of Studies of Anthropology (PG) of the Kannur University. He was the Convenor of the First National Seminar on Visual Anthropology conducted by the Department of Anthropology, in collaboration with IGRMS, Bhopal and Anthropological Survey of India, Kalkata. He has worked in National and International Research Projects, and published a few research articles. He is also the Co-investigator of a two-year UGC Major Research Project (2005-2007)

The theory Pecuniarisation is quite important for analysing the social change of Indian villages. The theoretical model building provided through this book is very interesting.
