Contemporary Indo-Canadian Relations

Vinay Kumar Malhotra (Editor)
Synopsis Canada is a rich and developed country. It is an economic power in her own right. Moreover, a large number of Indian immigrants are settled and prospering there. In the post-cold war and post-communist era economic component has assumed great importance in international relations. Indo-Canadian relations are no exception to this general trend. An interesting development in the last few years or so has been the ascendancy of economics and economic diplomacy. The major objective of this work is to study the growing economic and trade relations between India and Canada, which are mutually beneficial to each other. Major theme of the book is economism that has also become a significant factor in Indo-Canadian relations in the nineties. Another objective is to explore further areas and opportunities of Indo-Canadian economic cooperation. The book also endeavors to find out and explain complications and issues in political and economic relations between India and Canada. This book consists of 11 well-researched chapters, contributed by renowned scholars in field from India and abroad. This book will certainly prove informative and useful for scholars and academics besides the policy-planners and administrators.
