Synopsis Special programme for farm women implemented so far proved that women will be given access to improved information and resources would increase agricultural production significantly. Farm women have limited command and control over resources and assets equal opportunity and fair share of the returns in the society as well as in the family. Generally, it is argued that, extensions services and training can empower farm women and the technology can equip them to acquire new skills and lessen their drudgery. The present volume is the modest attempt to find out farm women socially, economically and technically. The scientific evaluation of the programme Women in Agriculture for its economic impact on decision making, socio-economic empowerment, increase in farm production and productivity, income and employment generation ad constraints in programmes implementation have been undertaken in detail. The findings and the strategies suggested would facilitate to shape the planning and implementation of future programmes for farm women. The book is also expected to be of great help to students, scholars, policy makers, women activists, development administrators and NGOs working for development of farm women in particular and rural development in general.
