Synopsis In recent years the Environmental law has emerged as an important discipline of law. Enactment of laws addressing environmental issues by the Parliament and the sensitivity and creativity such laws have contributed in the evolution of environmental jurisprudence. This book examines and comments upon the constitutional and legislative provisions pertaining to protection and improvement of environment in India. The environmental movement got thrust from certain landmark judgments of the Supreme Court.
