Dr. B.G. Banerjee (b. 1948) did his M.Sc. in Anthropology from the University of Delhi and Ph.D. from the Panjab Unviersity, Chandigarh. His interest in Tribal Anthropology and social Demography is well-known in academic circles. He also specialises in Socialisation studies and Medical Social Anthropology. He is the author of Socialisation: An Ethnic Study (1986), Child Development and Socialisation (1987) and Folk Illness and Ethnomedicine (1988). He has contributed several research articles and papers in learned and professional journals. He is a life-member of Indian Anthroplogical Association, delhi. For some time Dr Banerjee assisted Prof. Charles Leslie in his research project in Varanasi. Later he was associated with research and teaching work in the Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi. He was awarded U.G.C. National Fellowship for doing research work (1973-76). Since 1977, he is teaching Demography and pursuing research at the Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dr. Anil Kumar Sinha (b. 1948) is Assistant Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Assam, Kahilipara, Gauhati. He got a First Class Master’s Degree in Physics. Later, joined the Law Faculty at the University of Gauhati and got L.L.M. (1980) and Ph.D. in Law (1989). He also passed the Certificates of Proficiency in French and Russian Languages from the Gauhati University standing first class first. He served as a Guest Lecturer in Law and an invitee lecturer as a resource person to teach L.L.B. and L.L.M. students of the Gauhati University. He was on the distinguished panel of teachers in the Assam Administrative Staff College, at Dispur, Assam. He was also a guest lecturer at the Pre-Examination Training Centre at the Gauhati University to teach criminal law to the Indian administrative Service examinees. As the seniormost ballistics expert of the Government of Assam, he has been imparting training on Forensic Ballistic and related legal matters to senior police and judicial officers of all the states of North-Eastern India. He has published a number of articles on Forensic Science, Law and Criminology in both English and Assamese. He is mainly interested in the subject of criminology. He has attended a number of seminars and conferences held throughout the country.

Dr. R.N. Vasishat (b. 1947) is currently Professor of Anthropology. He did his M.Sc. in Anthropology with a first class in 1971 and Ph.D. In 1980 from Panjab University at Chandigarh. He has been teaching Biological Anthropology, including Palaeoanthropology and Prehistoric Archaeology, since 1971. He is an author of three books and a number of publications in international journals in diverse areas of Physical Anthropology. His research interests include Palaeoanthropology, Palaeoecology, Human Growth, Physique and sports Anthropology and Forensic Anthropology. He is a member of a number of international societies of learning.
