About the author

Premananda Panda

Dr. Premananda Panda, Reader in Social Anthropology has been engaged in teaching Post Graduate students since 1977 in Sambalpur University. As an academic activists, Dr. Panda has attained recognition for his teaching, research and extension works. He did his Post Graduation in Social anthropology from Utkal University. He was awarded doctoral degree in 1982. Dr. Panda has acquired his Post Graduate Diploma in Adult and Non-formal Education for ISSR, Vellore in 1990 and P.G. Diploma in Human Resource Development from NIHRD, Madras in 1997. At the international level he was holding the post of Coordinator for bilateral agreement for academic co-operation between Sambalpur University, Orissa, India and Orange Free State University, Republic of South Africa till 2002. He has visited many countries like the Philippines, Singapore, USA and Republic of South Africa for academic purposes. Outside India, he taught Industrial Anthropology and Indian Society. As a trainer and an adjunct faculty in Management Institutes/University and as well as in management training Institutes of industrial sector in areas of Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour he is known to a wider range. He is one of the life members of National Council of Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi and nodal members for National Literacy Mission, New Delhi and connected to many voluntary Organizations in different capacities. To his credit, he has authored a few books and contributed more than forty research papers published in the National and International Journals of repute.
