Nilanjana Das (Author)
Synopsis This study is another step forward in our understanding of the wonder that is India. It offers meaningful information, critical perspectives and theoretical reflections in the realm of religion. It also offers a double critique of those who transform and use religion into an instrument of exploitation and communal politics, as well as those who mechanically associate religion with fundamentalism. The understanding of the exploitative economic content of religion show be questioned and criticized from within. For this a Marxist critique of religion and exploitation has been attempted.
