Dr.Subir Banerjee - A masterpiece of Tsunami Jan, 01, 1970

Being a doctor by profession I understand very little of any technical matter, but the book entitled 'TSUNAMI THE BIGGEST BANE' is very lucid and after going through it I got a clear idea about the mechanism and technical details of tsunami. It is a classic book. It should be a compulsory reading at the high school level.

Bhupesh Sarode - A very good book on Tsunami Jan, 01, 1970

Suvasish Mukhopadhyay, rather "Sir" is what we used to call him, beign the best teacher of my Engineering days, he made Fluid Mechanics the easiest subject to understand. No wonder he is thus the best suited man to write on a subject like Tsunami. The book is well-organized, highly readable for professional and lay persons alike, and is a valuable contribution to literature on this most important subject. The book written post 2004 Tsunami gives excellent details of the Indian Ocean Earthquake that caused this devastating phenomenon. He has carefully examined the various causes of this phenomenon, including meteor strikes and landslides, matters which have only recently come to the attention of science. I think this book is must reading. Tsunamis cannot be stopped, but while property can be replaced, human life cannot. This book will certainly help by showing the dimension and frequency of the hazard, and what to do when a tsunami is imminent. I recommend this book very, very highly.

SUBODH DALVI - A must read by one and all Jan, 01, 1970

This book on Tsunami by Professor Mukhopadhyay is as informative and realistic to be read by a student, a professional person or in general by all. It,not only enlightens the Tsunami Disaster episode, but also focuses on the scientific part behind its happening, leading the reader to think at a glance about the issue in a different point of view. Rest the language of the book is made simple and effective to be well understood by all. All in all I hope the readers will surely take an advantage of having this live information from Professor Mukhopadhyay's book "TSUNAMI-The biggest Bane".
