Kirby Porter

Kirby Porter was born in Belfast and educated at Queen’s University and the University of London. He studied librarianship at the North London Polytechnic School of Librarianship and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He was formerly Principal Librarian and Deputy Head of Service with the London Borough of Haringey Community Information Service and is currently Head of the Government Library Service in Northern Ireland and responsible for library services to the Northern Ireland Assembly.
