Sanjeev P. Srivastava (Author) R.P. Srivastava (Author)
Synopsis The present book is incomparable in more than one way. It is for the first time that any publication has been produced by any author of national repute, covering almost all the aspects of art, culture, heritage of Patiala, on a comprehensive scale. Readers and buyers these days have some sort of ethnic and provincial bias against each other. But the present book has overcome this type of psychosis and focuses on an inter-regional kind of readership. The creative visual and performing arts have been covered extensively. Hence, this book has been prepared keeping in view the significant aspects of eh art and life of Patiala and its environs. To some extent, this has succeeded in proving Patiala as the cultural capital of Punjab. This is an established fact that past and present rulers of Patiala remained in the forefront of art, culture and politics of India. Readers are the best judge to see all this for themselves. It is hoped that the book lives up to their expectations.
