M. Razia Parvin

Dr. M. Razia Parvin (b. 1971) obtained her M.A. in History from Madras University in 1993 and M.Phil. in Public Affairs from the same University in 1994. After which she completed her M.A. in Sociology from Annamalai University in 1997 and Ph.D. Degree in the field of Women Studies from Madras University in 1999. She holds a PGDCS from BITS Institute, Chennai and PGDHRM from IGNOU, New Delhi. Having brilliant academic record, she has presented papers in several national and regional seminars. She has several research publications to her credit on the issues relating to empowerment of women. Presently, she is the Head of the Department in Sociology, Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women (Evening), Teynampet, Chennai.
