About the author

Pushpam Kumar

Pushpam Kumar, Reader at the Institute of Economic Growth, holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics from the Delhi University. He has taught Masterâ€™s level students in the Department of Business Economics, Delhi University for several years. He is the Member Secretary to the World Bank constituted Environmental Economics Training committee for Practicing Economists and Non-Economists (EETCPN) of the â€˜World Bank Aided India Environmental Management Capacity Building Technical Assistance Project in Environmental Economicsâ€™. He is involved in many international collaborative research projects and currently he is Coordinator of Responses Working Group of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MEA). His research interests include valuation and accounting of ecosystem services, bioprospecting and corporate social responsibility. His earlier book was Linkages of Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development: Some Issues in Modelling, Accounting and Valuation, Manak Publications, Delhi.
