About the authors

S.M. Reddy

Dr. S.M. Reddy, Professor Emeritus (UGC), Department of Botany, Kakatiya University, is a recipient of Best Teacher Award by Govt. of A.P. He authored and edited about 15 books of university education. His research work spans over wide areas of microbiology right from microbial diversity to microbial biotechnology. He has guided 40 students for the Ph.D. degrees and published more than 400 original research papers in national and international journals. Successfully, he has completed nearly 20 research projects sponsored by different funding agencies. He is a fellow of many academic societies and an active member of several academic bodies.

S. Ram Reddy

Dr. S. Ram Reddy, Professor of Microbiology, has a teaching experience for nearly three decades both, at UG and PG levels. He edited and authored more than a dozen books. His research field includes microbial physiology, bioinoculants and biodiversity of microorganisms. He has handled a numbr of research projects funded by UGC, DBT, CSIR, DST etc. He has published more than seventy research papers and guided so many students their Ph.D. and M. Phil. degrees. He is a fellow of Indian Phytopathological Society and an active member of many academic bodies.
