The Children's Mahabharta

Shanta Rameshwar Rao (Author)
Synopsis The Mahabharata is one of the eternal epics of the world. As long as human beings remain what they are and are moved by passions and feelings, the Mahabharta will continue to remain a source of aesthetic enjoyment and moral and intellectual enlightenment. If you are an Indian child it is very unlikely that you have not heard of the Mahabharta. The Mahabharta is a book for all times and all occasions and there is no human situation, it seems, that it does not mention or treat of. Its message is for all people, young and old, men, women, and children. For each individual who reads or hears it the Mahabharta brings a different message according to the way in which he looks for it. And this in the end is perhaps the secret of its power and its popularity.
