Dr. Rudrapratap Chattopadhyaya (Born in 1942) is a Professional Chemist, contributor to National and International Journals of Chemistry. But his domain of writing extends from the realm of Chemistry to many other fields of science and humanities. He has written stories for the juveniles, also regularly writes science fictions, popular sciences, short stories, novels and dramas. For the last ten years he has been studying history and comparative region, as a result of which he has already written biographies of Derizio, Titu Meer, Dr. Syamaprasad, Sir Saiyid Ahamd Khan and Sir Muhammad Iqbal in Bengali. Insurgency of Titu Meer is his first venture in English.
