Dr. Kusum Sharma, a Ph.D., in Teaching of English (Education) from Department of Education (CIE), University of Delhi, has also done postgraduate Certificate Course in Teaching of English from CIEFL, Hyderabad. Dr. Sharma began her professional career in 1976, from Birla Public School Pilani. She has a long, rich experience of teaching English at Secondary and Senior Secondary level in nationwide reputed institutions such as Banasthali Vidyapeeth (Rajasthan) and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. During her stayat Banasthali, she represented the institute in state level teaching competitions. While working in KVS she was selected as a member of CBSE-ELT Project and sent for an advance 3 months course in Testing and Assessment at College of Education, Plymouth, England. Besides teaching, she has authored a number of helpbooks and reference books of English for secondary and senior secondary level students. She has co-authored class IX & X English textbooks published by CBSE. She has been associated with IGNOU for writing the course material and also a number of articles for educational journals and magazines. Having vast experience of teaching English for past 24 years, presently, she is working as Senior Lecturer & Head PSTE in District Institute of Education and Training (SCERT) at Daryaganj, New Delhi.
