Synopsis The book Medicinal Plants of Assam deals with the plants of that part of the country which is universally recognised as one of the hot-spot regions in biodiversity of the world. The plants described in the book are reported to be used by the different ethnic groups of Assam as traditional medicine since time immemorial. The book is meant only to provide information and clues for laboratory or clinical research work not for prescribing curatives for disease or ailments. The book deals with 355 species of plants.
