Saira Rahman Khan is a British Chevening scholar (1997-1998) and obtained her Ph.D. in socio-Legal Studies from University of Kent, Canterbury, England in 1998. She did her LL.B. (Hons.) and Masters in Law (LL.M.) from Dhaka University and spent a brief time practicing law and teaching â€˜Women in Politicsâ€™ at NorthSouth University. She is an occasional contributor to the Law and our Rights page of the Daily Star. She presently works as a free lance legal researcher in the realm of women, law and developmental issues.
