He was hailed as the best ‘Ambassador of Hindu-Muslim Unity.’ As a staunch secular nationalist Congressman that he once was; later turned the worst enemy of the Congress. He claimed to be the ‘Sole Spokesman of Muslims in India.’ He demanded Pakistan under his ‘Two-nation theory.’ He was a famous disciple of Gopal Krishna Gokhale. Another disciple of Gokhale was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi who later emerged as the Mahatma of the people of India and was hailed as the ‘Father of the nation.’ Jinnah aspired to be a Muslim-Gokhale. But then something happened and Jinnah became a rank communalist. Who and what caused this disastrous transformation in Jinnah? Was it Gandhi Vs Jinnah or something else… Why he wanted Pakistan? Did he demand Pakistan to play the role he failed to play for India? Or was it his very personal revenge on all those who humiliated and ignored him? This book is an inquiry into the personality of Jinnah. It is born out of the quest for the truth. Jinnah, the man of destiny gives another, may be untold story of Jinnah’s life. The sole objective of this book is to ask some questions and it is left to the reader to find their answers.
