Synopsis Library and Information Science - both in concept and application - is changing fast. The technology, information resources, users' needs, are different from country to country depending upon their social, cultural and educational requirements. An attempt has been made by the editor for the first time to bring together a collection of articles by experts from various countries and fields that truly reflect the latest thoughts, research activities and state of the art. Some of the articles were presented at the 58th IFLA General Conference recently held in New Delhi, and the rest are original contributions by the authors exclusively called for this anthology.
