Kashmir in The Shadow of War

Robert G. Wirsing (Author)
Synopsis This book reexamines the Indian-Pakistani conflict over Kashmir in its current, war-threatening context. The focus of the study is on the period from the effective nuclearization of the dispute in 1998 through to the recent introduction of US troops into the region in connection with the war in Afghanistan. The author is an advocate of international intervention in regional conflicts and does not think leaving the contesting parties to settle their dispute is a responsible policy.
