The present fauna volume deals with the consolidated account on 196 species under 47 genera of the subfamily Eumeninae of family Vespidae from India for the first time. During 1989, Das and Gupta published a monograph on social wasps of India and adjacent counties. So, in this work, we are not provided a detailed account on social wasp subfamilies (Stenogastrinae, Polistinae, and Vespinae). Instead, we provided a detailed and updated checklist of them (with 94 species under 11 genera) and also the subfamily Masarinae (With only one species). In this work, three species, namely, Cyrtolabulus bishnoius sp. nov., Cyrtolabulus carpenteri sp. no., and Paraleptomenes tamilensis sp. nov., are described as new to science.
