Buddhism and Dynastic Power in South India : Circa AD 300-1300
Buddhism and Dynastic Power in South India (Circa AD 300-1300) is the third volume in the series of compilations of the present author's articles most of which were published earlier in professional academic journals, proceedings of research seminars or workshops and in felicitation volumes presented to academics and other reputed scholars. In this volume there are nine essays arranged in two parts. The first five articles are on Buddhism in South India during the Pallava and Chola periods while the rest are on selected themes on dynastic power and social formation during these two periods. The essays have not been designed to project any intrinsic connection between Buddhism and the ideas of kingship and dynastic power.
