Enumeration of the Flora of Northeast India

Uma Shankar (Author)
Synopsis

his authored book, the first in APG IV in India,  presents a list of over 10,000 angiosperm taxa of different ranks recorded from Northeast India, which encompasses two global hotspots of biodiversity, viz., 'The Hiamalaya' and 'Indo-Burma'. For this volume, the region includes the geographies of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, and Darjeeling hills of West Bengal. The taxa are arranged according to the Angiosperm Phylogeny (APG IV, 2016) classification, which is an important divergence from Bentham and Hooker's system of natural classification (1862-1883). The nomenclature follows the Shenzen Code (2018).

The book is recommended for reference to the libraries and for personal possession to the postgraduate and doctoral students, research scholars, and scientists of botany, forestry, agriculture, horticulture, and the environment.
